This look is what I like to call “something old, something new,” as this colorful Nanette Lepore skirt has been one of my go-to pieces for quite some time. It took me through sorority rush in college, traveled with me when I studied abroad in Rome, and is now an essential piece in my work wardrobe. I paired it with one of my favorite silk blouses and these pink suede heels (gifted by my fabulous Skirt coworker, Molly T!.) for a fun, yet professional look perfect for the workplace and beyond!

I’ve been trying to stay optimistic about the unseasonal summer we’ve had by wearing florals and bright colors as much as possible. This flared skirt from J.Crew is my go-to in the summer months! I love it because it’s easy to wear with just about anything from a printed blouse to a crop top and statement necklace. I had to buy it in a few more colors, including lime green and cobalt blue. I stumbled upon the pastel and metallic heels I’m wearing at Zara and couldn’t resist – they go with more than outfits than I ever expected!

I always feel pulled together in a crisp white button-up so I tend to reach for this one from J.Crew at least once a week. This floral skirt was one of those lucky TJ Maxx finds! I love that it is flirty and fun, yet it’s still a great length for work. Some days at Skirt are a total whirlwind bouncing between brainstorms, client meetings and after-work networking events, so I need an outfit that can carry me through the day with ease.
There’s nothing more classic than a black and white ensemble. To keep this beloved combo from feeling too expected, I love to play around with pattern and texture, like I’ve done here with this surprisingly comfortable printed Elizabeth & James skirt and fringed top from Nordstrom. How do you update classic looks?

Warmer weather is slowly making its way into Chicago, so that means sandals and white jeans are in rotation in my closet. I love a nice crisp shirt (popped, of course, thanks Mom) paired with white jeans. This seems to be my go-to outfit when I can’t stare in my closet any longer. I added a fun necklace and a bright belt to give the outfit a little more flair.
