Join SELF Magazine and Dolvett Quince of NBC’s The Biggest Loser for the 19th annual SELF Workout In The Park! The events will kick off in San Francisco on May 5, 2012, followed by New York on May 12, 2012 and Chicago on June 2, 2012.
The outdoor festival for fitness will be a transformative experience, featuring invigorating exercise, beauty consultations, style savvy, nutritional know-how, and exclusive freebies and giveaways. Last year, more than 12,000 people put their fitness foot forward and participated in the Workout in the Park series, reaffirming SELF’s mission to motivate and inspire women to discover their best selves.
Celebrity Guests
Dolvett Quince, celebrity trainer and star on NBC’s The Biggest Loser will be this year’s celebrity host appearing at all three Workout in the Park events.
Joining him in San Francisco and New York will be Louis Van Amstel, former dance coach on Dancing with the Stars and star of the DVD series “Louis Let’s Dance”, teaching his fabulous LaBlast class and mingling with guests. Plus, SELF’s amazing fitness team will be on hand at all events to give fitness and health tips, show their favorite workout moves and get into the action with guests!
Exclusively at Workout in the Park in New York for the second year in a row, special guest emcee Danielle Monaro from Z100’s Elvis Duran and The Morning Show will host the day’s festivities and get the crowd pumped.
Fitness Classes
The Workout in the Park 2012 roster includes 17 innovative classes featuring top instruction from Crunch Gym including traditional classes such as Ab Attack, Beach Body and Masala Bhangra and try out new, unique fitness experiences, including:
* Fly Girls— Stay super fly by counting down to your favorite 90s pop hits with easy-to-follow dance routines.
* POUND Rockout Workout— Fuse pilates-inspired movement with the art of making music at this trendy new class that uses Ripstix™, weighted drumsticks, to work the core, upper, and lower body.
* Hippie Yoga—i.e. yoga that focuses on opening up the hips! Leaves you feeling restored and renewed like no other.
*Reebok Toning Zone—Participants will perform unique total-body exercises inspired by Reebok shoes, one of today’s biggest fitness trends.

In addition to top training techniques, participants can take advantage of free product samples, sweepstakes, and much, much more.
