DIY Rosette Bun with Sine Qua Non Salon

It’s easy to run out of ideas when it comes to your ‘do, which is why we all resort to wearing our hair down or the ol’ faithful: a lil pony. Jennifer Villacis from Sine Qua Non Salon shares the easiest and cutest do-it-yourself rosette bun in the below tutorial. All you need are a few pins to go from everyday locks to an undone, vintage-chic updo.

Step One: Begin with curly or wavy hair with volume at the crown.

Step Two: separate hair into three sections- one on each side of the head and one at the back.

Step Three: Create a rosette in the back of the head with the middle section, pin slightly to the side, so it isn’t too perfect.

Step Four: Take one of the two side sections, split in two, and twist both sections clockwise while pulling the section toward the back of the head. When they are all twisted, twist those two twists counterclockwise together. That big twist can now be incorporated to the rosette- simply wrap around the rosette and pin.

Step Five: Repeat the twist and twist with the other section and pin around the rosette so all hair is up.
