Shannon: Why Chicago’s Restaurant Week is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Chicago’s Restaurant Week—the only ten day stretch of Chicago’s seriously cold winter that even the lowest dip in temperatures can’t ruin!   Although the menus were released several weeks ago, I can’t help but daydream about the plates of delectable bites that will soon fill my Instagram feed and, most importantly, my stomach.   It isn’t often that you get the opportunity to taste a 3 (and in some cases, 4) course meal for a fraction of the normal price—so eat up!  Clearly, this is no time to be going on one of those “paleo” diets or trying to cut out the carbs in accordance with your New Year’s resolution… This is the time to be gluttonous and truly enjoy the best meats, soups, salads and sweets (maybe not all at once) our Chicago chefs have to offer.  Here are my picks for this year’s restaurant week:

Bistro Voltaire

Baume & Brixe

N9NE Steakhouse & Ghostbar

bellyQ

312 Chicago

Is anyone else attending? What are your picks this year?

XO,

Shannon
